Gregory Twist, 67 of Georgetown, California
Went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 4, 2021 from complications due to Covid-19.
Greg was born in Fort Delvoir, Virginia to Geneva Ray and Werth Twist Jr. Greg grew up alongside his brother Steve and sister Michelle, and became a mechanic in the Air Force during Vietnam. After leaving the Airforce, he worked as a landscaper before going back to school and getting a degree at American River College, going on to work for the Department of Water Resources for the State of California. He loved wood-working, fishing, and treasure hunting.
Gregory was survived by his loving wife Jeannie Twist (of Georgetown), his daughter Ginger Twist (of Citrus Heights), his son Trevor Twist (of Oakland), his grandchildren, Triston and Tahoe Haverty (of Chico and Citrus Heights) his mother, Geneva Ray (of Georgetown), his brother Steve Twist (of Georgetown), his sister Michelle Twist (of Sacramento) and his many friends.
There will be an outdoor service held at Henningsen Lotus Park on March 27 at 11 am. He will be buried at Georgetown cemetery. A memorial fund has been set up to help cover his memorial and medical expenses: https://gofund.me/37da17eb .
